Thank
you for your interest in
"Walk the Villages."
This program is a great way for
people to improve their health
and wellness while getting to
know their local communities
even better. For detailed
information on this program or
to download page information,
for the pdf version to print
out. This
booklet contains all the
information you need to get
started. Please take a moment to
look through it and remember to
clip out the walking log and
post it in a prominent place in
your home so that you can keep
track of your progress. Good
luck!
How
Walk the Villages Works!
Step
1. Start Walking.
Included in the Walk
the Villages booklet
are profiles, maps and community
event calendars for the five
beautiful villages participating
in this year's program. Use them
to help plan your walks and
remember you have almost five
months to visit them all. Take
your time and enjoy yourself.
Step
2. Record your
progress. In the back of this
book is a "walking
log" that you can use to
record your progress. Your total
time and number of steps for
your first week will serve as
your personal starting point. As
you progress, try to increase
the distance and frequency of
your walks.
Step
3. Mail in your form.
Once you have completed the
program, mail your walking log
to my office at the address
noted below and you will receive
a certificate of completion.

to win great prizes as you walk
Register to win
great prizes as you walk In addition to
improving your health, another great feature of
the Walk The Villages program is the chance to
win great prizes donated by your local
businesses. As you walk and stop by the
businesses participating in the program, have
your village prize coupons stamped. Once you
collect stamps from any four participating
merchants in a village you can turn your coupon
in at any of the designated drop-off points.
In addition to being eligible to win great
village prizes, all entries will also
automatically be reentered into the grand prize
drawing. You must be 18 years or older to enter
and win.
Take
it a step further by visiting more villages
Once you'
completed your walks in the five villages; in
Walk The Villages Area 2 — Alden, East Aurora,
Ellicottville, Lancaster and Orchard Park —
why not take it a step further by walking the
villages in Walk the Villages Area 1 — Akron,
Batavia, Clarence, Kenmore, LeRoy and
Williamsville.
Thank
you for visiting Walk The Villages.
